3677296594_59af8b8f2eImagine if you have to travel from China to the United States. Now the easiest way to do that is the book yourself a ticket and travel on a plane. But lets put that out of the context for a second. And lets say you have no money and you can only afford to travel by car (I’m not sure if you can do that, but lets just assume thats what you are going to do right now)

Now the same thing happens when you want to achieve something in life. Victory of course. The final result you always dream of. It’s also a journey (quest).

Doing It The Hard Way

As you travel in the car going from country to country, your mind is setting on the final destination (no, not the movie), the United States.

But this set of mind will only put too much burden and pressure on you. In simple words, you’ll feel as you go along that it’s a ‘long-hard-winding-journey’

The same goes when you want to achieve something in life, whether it’s becoming a doctor, getting married with the person you love, or becoming a millionaire. If you are starting from point zero and you aim straight towards that big victory, it’s going to ‘feel’ difficult along the way.

The Much Easier Way To Do It…Mentally

BUT, if you aim for the nearest country and travel from one country to another (heading to United States), it will feel much easier.

So, take a look at your big goal and break it out into smaller goals you can achieve and score that small victories, working up the ladder towards the big price. Not only you’ll feel easier but it will give you a sense that you achieved ’something’ along the way. That’s how important small victories are.

The Big Final Test

But as you might know already, you can’t really drive from China straight to United States. There’s no bridge. Now you have the last ‘path’ to reach United States, the Pacific sea. And man, it’s not your mama’s pool. It’s widely stretch with a lot of challenges. Take that as your big-final-test before you can get to your destination.

The same goes in real life. Just when you try hard enough, and you go through different difficulties, there will be this one ‘final big test’ before you can get what you want. You have gone through a lot and achieve all the smaller victories, and that has prepared you and motivated you to take on the last challenge.

Plus, going through all countries will widen your experiences and having small victories will definitely boost your confidence level to achieve more in life.

So, take small steps towards small victories to achieve the bigger victory. Dont forget to celebrate right after.
