When was the last time you really lend a 'helping hand'?
Everybody knows that we need to help the people in need. We are reminded to do that since we are a little kid. But what we tend to forget is that how to give a true and meaningful help to others.
Here’s how I believe you can lend a helping hand and be proud of it. When you give help, remember the meaning of H.E.L.P.
H for Honesty
If you are helping someone without honesty than its not a help. If you have a purpose than your only purpose of helping should be because you want to get that person out of the problem he or she is in right now.
Dont help if you want to make money out of it.
Dont help if you want to become famous or popular.
Dont help if you want to show off.
Dont help because you dont want people to think bad of you.
Remember, help with honesty. Get this first ‘rule’ right first.
E for Energy
Help with full capacity of your energy. When people are stuck in their problems, they drained a lot of energy trying to get out of it. Sometimes, the solution is already there,but lack of energy is what preventing the dilemma to be solved.
You can help by being that source off energy just like a sun.Show through your actions and energetic voice and make that person believe that they can turn things around. Giving energy can also mean physical energy if that kind of help is needed.
Remember, shine like the sun and share the energy. That’s a good sign of help.
L for Love
If you give something with love, you’ll always get love back as a return.If you give help with love, you always get people to love you back as a person. Thats one hell of away to promote yourself. But remember the first rule, always with honesty.
Remember, show some love. Its free but the reward is priceless.
P for Peace
Combine all the above and you will get a ‘reward’ for every help you gave. And nothing better than a sense of relief or inner peace. When you really help someone with honesty,energy and love, what do you feel afterwards? It gave you a sensation of you have done something good in life, even if you are giving a small help and even if you have done a lot of bad things in life.
Remember, peace will not come until you work for it. In this case, something you work out for others.
I was called to write this post after I’ve received an email from BloggersUnite and ask me to respond to the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that rocked Haiti on Tuesday. The citizens of Haiti are currently dealing with devastation and suffering that few of us can imagine.
Official estimates says that approximately 3 million people have been affected by this disaster and around 50,000 people may have died as a result of the earthquake.
